12 DAYS TRAINING TO GET NEW STAFF INTO TELSTRA’S INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE WORK
(I & M Basic-revised)


This is a Telstra Accredited Training Course.

Milcom continues to develop training to meet the needs of industry. Milcom in conjunction with its clients and Telstra have developed a new course for new staff wishing to join lucrative Installation and Maintenance Contract work available. The new course is Basic Jointing & CPE for Installation and Maintenance staff. Milcom has configured the course to 10 days with the pre-requisites of the Restricted Registration (2 days) this prepares an individual to perform the installation and maintenance work being outsourced by Telstra.

The I & M Basic course (revised) is the pre-requisite for I & M Advanced after 6 months field experience.

UP TO $5,100 GOVERNMENT INCENTIVES FOR
TRAINING EXISTING WORKERS


As part of the federal government incentive to up skill the existing workforce it is possible to enrol existing employees into a traineeship that will attract Federal Government incentives up to $5,100. (Additional incentives apply for new employees)

To be eligible for the incentives, the traineeship has to be of 24 months duration and the applicant must not have attained a Certificate III or greater qualification. Advice must be sought from an Australian Apprenticeship Centre as to the eligibility. (Milcom can provide details of an AAC)

Certificate III in Telecommunications traineeships is an ideal way to develop new staff to work in the Telecommunications industry.

Master Security License
In line with the company's continuing efforts to fully service the needs of clients, students and industry, Milcom has successfully applied for the Master Security Licence. We are now able to provide quality training and support to electricians wishing to become security system installers.

R.F. Safety Refresher course
An enquiry from the country regions sees Milcom delivering a refresher course in Radio Frequency Safety (R.F. Safety). This was to be held in regional NSW, however it has been re-scheduled to be conducted at our St Leonards Training Centre. The Re-fresher course is 4 hours in duration. We have made this a public course and is open to interested companies and/or individuals.
