Course Aim: Provide industry specific skill and knowledge for all persons carrying out design and estimating activities within the distribution network. | Course Objectives: By the end of the course the student shall be able to:
-Explain the Telstra Urban and Rural Distribution Network.
-Demonstrate knowledge Distribution area Plans and Plan Symbols
-List the Telstra Systems, definitions and their use
-List the Conduit - Types, Fittings and Applications
-List Jointing Types, Sizes, Fittings and Application
-Explain the various Cable sizes and types used in the network
-Demonstrate the various Joint enclosures used
-Explain what is a Cross-connecting Units. (overview)
-Explain what is a Small Pair Gain Systems
-Demonstrate knowledge of Urban and Rural Distribution Design Principles
-Design - Estimating Practices and Procedures | Course Duration: 10 days | Course Fee: Milcom Fee: $1,100.00 Optional - Deposit of $297.50 then 6 monthly payments of $148.75 | Course Notes: -Telstra Accredited
-No prerequisites, although it is recommended to have completed CAN 10 or equivalent experience

General Conditions
- Cancellation of booking less than 14 days prior to commencement of the course will attract a 50% administration charge.
- No refunds will be payable after course commencement.
- Milcom reserves the right to cancel, postpone or vary course dates or venues.
- Milcom reserves the right to allow delegates a “once only” transfer between courses, venues or dates. Further transfers will incur an administration fee. Contact the office for fee information.
- Dress code: Courses are conducted in a simulated work environment; therefore students must be attired appropriately. Closed shoes/boots only. No sandals or thongs. Students wearing sandals or thongs will not be allowed into the course.
- Students arriving late will not be allowed into class.
- You are not booked into a course until you receive confirmation from Milcom
